And her name is Love.

I know I don’t write here often. But I had to today. After a long week of trying to fight a cold and no sleep and sick kids and you know that exhaustion that comes over you as a mother, or a father, when you are just carrying the weight of the world? And there is no sign of rest for HOURS?

I was having one of those weeks.

And a friend brought me a raspberry truffle frappe in the early morning, to cheer me up. To give me the boost I needed to get through the hours.

That friend is such an inspiration. She has four very young daughters and her heart is waiting for two adopted sons. And her name is Love. Really. Her name is Love.

Love just got back- less than a week ago- from Uganda where she met a little boy who hopefully will become her real-life son. She’s posted a short video here of her time with him. Please watch, along with a box of tissues.

put things into perspective for me today.

Love will grow anywhere and everywhere… if you let it.
